2023 NBA playoffs bracket: Schedule, times, TV info: Knicks oust Cavaliers; Grizzlies force Game 6 vs. Lakers

Three teams had the chance to advance to the next round of the 2023 NBA playoffs Wednesday night. One did, one didn’t and one is ready to take the floor. The visiting Knicks eliminated the Cavaliers to take the series 4-1 and now wait to see if they’ll face the Heat or Bucks. Miami leads that series 3-1 and plays later Thursday night. In the other potential elimination game, the host Grizzlies took down the Lakers and now trails 3-2. Game 6 is Friday night in Los Angeles. The final contest of the night will be a Game 5 between the Kings and Warriors. That series is tied at 2.

Three teams previously advanced to the second round. The 76ers completed a sweep of the Nets on Saturday. The Nuggets and Suns, meanwhile, ousted the Timberwolves and Clippers, respectively, on Tuesday night. Denver and Phoenix will meet in the second round starting on Saturday.

The other first-round series remaining is Celtics-Hawks. Game 6 is set for Thursday night after Boston missed the chance to close out Atlanta on Tuesday night. The 76ers await the winner of Celtics-Hawks with that second-round series set to start on Monday, May 1.
