The Cincinnati Bengals bolstered their offensive line in a big way on Wednesday by signing four-time Pro Bowl tackle Orlando Brown.
But now, just two days later, it appears the move may have caused another Bengals lineman to rethink his future in Cincinnati.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport announced this morning that Bengals left tackle Jonah Williams has requested a trade.
“In the wake of the Orlando Brown signing, #Bengals OT Jonah Williams has requested a trade through his agent Ryan Tollner, sources say. Just 25 years old with 47 career starts at LT protecting Joe Burrow, Williams becomes the top tackle available if Cincy is willing to move on,” Rapoport shared.

Williams, 25, was selected 11th overall by the Bengals in the 2019 NFL Draft. After starting just 10 games in his rookie campaign, the Alabama product has started 16 in each of the past two seasons.
A left tackle since entering the league, Williams may have felt as though he was being replaced in the aftermath of the Orlando Brown signing. It’s unclear if the Bengals plan to start Brown at right tackle, his usual position, or at left tackle. Brown served as the Ravens’ right tackle for the first two seasons of his NFL career but has split snaps at both positions in recent years.
We will stay on the lookout for any additional information regarding a potential Jonah Williams trade.
