The Chicago Bears have reportedly made a blockbuster trade this Friday.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Bears are trading the No. 1 overall pick in April’s NFL Draft to the Panthers.
Rapoport notes that Chicago dealt the pick in exchange for “big-time compensation including multiple 1st rounders.”

In moving up to the No. 1 pick, it’s likely the Panthers are targeting one of the top quarterback prospects in the draft. Whether that’s Alabama’s Bryce Young, Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud or potentially Kentucky’s Will Levis or Florida’s Anthony Richardson is unclear.
As a result of Friday’s trade, Chicago will now be picking at No. 9.
Update: The Bears will receive the No. 9 pick and a second-round pick in 2023, a first-round pick in 2024, a second-round pick in 2025 and wide receiver D.J. Moore in exchange for the No. 1 pick, NFL insider Ian Rapoport announced.
