The Denver Broncos gave out the first jaw-dropping deal of free agency.
Denver is reportedly giving San Francisco 49ers right tackle Mike McGlinchey a five-year, $87.5 million contract that includes $50 million guaranteed.
The 49ers drafted McGlinchey with the ninth overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. His rookie contract was for four-years and $18 million, including a $11.4 million signing bonus and $18 million guaranteed. San Francisco picked up his fifth-year option for roughly $11 million for the 2022 season.
McGlinchey became an unrestricted free agent on Monday.

In 2022, McGlinchey made all 17 starts at right tackle. He will now help out quarterback Russell Wilson, who struggled last season, posting a career-low QBR, completion percentage and touchdowns, in Denver.
The move marks one of the first major changes under new Broncos head coach Sean Payton, who has had a busy free agency just hours into the start of the tampering period. The Broncos also signed their backup quarterback, Jarrett Stidham, to a two-year, $10 million deal on Monday.
