The Cleveland Browns appear to have landed one of the top defensive linemen in this year’s class of free agents.
Dalvin Tomlinson, 29, has reportedly agreed to a four-year deal with the Browns this Monday evening.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, should the deal become official on Wednesday, Tomlinson will earn $57 million over the course of the contract.
Sources: The #Browns are expected to sign former #Vikings DT Dalvin Tomlinson, landing their coveted big-time defenders on Day 1 of free agency. He gets a 4-year deal worth $57M with $27.5M guaranteed.

Tomlinson was selected by the New York Giants in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the New York franchise before joining the Vikings in 2021.
A run-stuffing defensive tackle for Minnesota the past two years, Tomlinson should provide the Browns with help on the interior of their defensive line. His addition may also free up superstar pass-rusher Myles Garrett, should teams decide against double-teaming the 6’3″ and 325-pound Tomlinson.
Cleveland may not have been able to make tonight’s move if they hadn’t created significant cap space this Monday morning. The team reportedly restructured the deal of quarterback Deshaun Watson earlier today, creating nearly $36 million in cap space.
Look for Tomlinson’s new deal with the Browns to become official on Wednesday, the start of the new league year.
