The Philadelphia Eagles really seem to like Georgia Bulldogs.
In the 2023 NFL Draft alone, GM Howie Roseman and the Eagles have selected three ex-Bulldogs in the first four rounds. And on top of that, Philadelphia landed another former Georgia star, Lions tailback D’Andre Swift, in a trade earlier this afternoon.
Speaking to ESPN today, Roseman – a Florida graduate – shared a concern that drafting so many Georgia players could impact his relationship with Gator alumni.
“I’m sure I’m out of the Florida Alumni Association as we speak,” Roseman said.

Roseman and the Eagles first made headlines for their interest in ex-Bulldog players last spring. Philadelphia selected Georgia IDL Jordan Davis in the 1st round of the 2022 NFL Draft and later got a steal by drafting LB Nakobe Dean at No. 83 overall.
Still, despite Roseman’s apparent love for former Georgia stars, he doesn’t seem very happy to admit it.
“I’m a Florida Gator. Do you know how much this hurts my soul to take all these Georgia players?” Roseman said in the Eagles’ war room this week while on the phone with Nolan Smith.

Howie Roseman's got jokes. 😂
