Casey Hayward is looking for a new NFL team.
The veteran cornerback was released by the Atlanta Falcons on Friday, according to multiple reports. Hayward spent one season in Atlanta and appeared in just six games.
The move will clear $5 million in salary cap space for the Falcons. The team acquired fellow cornerbacks Mike Hughes and Jeff Okudah earlier this offseason.
The Falcons have released veteran CB Casey Heyward.

Hayward spent his first four NFL seasons playing for the Green Bay Packers, who drafted him in the second round in 2012. He then spent five years with the Los Angeles Chargers, earning Pro Bowl invitations in 2016 and 2017.
Hayward played for the Las Vegas Raiders on a one-year deal in 2021. He then signed a two-year contract with the Falcons worth $11 million last offseason. He missed 11 games in 2022 due to a shoulder injury.
While Hayward likely won’t sign quite as lucrative a deal, there should be plenty of NFL teams interested in his services.
