After 13 NFL seasons, all with the New England Patriots, defensive back Devin McCourty is calling it a career.
McCourty, who won three Super Bowls with New England, announced with an Instagram post on Friday that he is retiring from the NFL.

“It’s not about the destination, it’s about the JOURNEY!!” McCourty wrote.
McCourty has played for the Patriots since being drafted 27th overall in 2010. He started all 205 games in which he appeared over the past 13 seasons, racking up a total of 35 interceptions and 971 tackles.
McCourty recorded 80 or more tackles in six different campaigns. He was named to a pair of Pro Bowls.
McCourty got to play alongside his twin brother, Jason McCourty, for three of his seasons in New England. Jason announced his retirement last summer.
Devin McCourty will go down as an all-time Patriots great. Congratulations to him on an incredible career.
