Georgia’s national champion quarterback, Stetson Bennett, won’t have to settle for latching onto an NFL team as an undrafted free agent. The 25-year-old was selected in the fourth round today by the Los Angeles Rams.
And- as fate would have it- Bennett’s already familiar with the Rams’ starting QB.
A resurfaced tweet from January shows fellow Georgia product Matthew Stafford congratulating Stetson on winning the College Football Playoff championship.

Reporter Marc Weiszer pointed out an interesting tidbit: Bennett is the highest-drafted quarterback produced by the Georgia Bulldogs since Stafford in 2009.

Not only will Stetson get to avoid the adversity linked with being an undrafted free agent, but he landed with an ideal team for his needs. Graham Coffey made the case for Sean McVay’s team being a perfect match for Bennett.
