Marvin Lewis, the former Cincinnati Bengals coach of 16 seasons, doesn’t tweet all that often. Having published just six tweets from 2022 and 2023 combined, it’s clear Lewis is an old-school kind of guy.

So when he uses social media, you know it will be for a good reason.

This past Friday, Lewis used his platform to push back against ESPN reporter Ben Baby who shared an unflattering anecdote about Orlando Brown Jr.

“During his pre-draft interview, former Bengals coach Marvin Lewis asked Orlando Brown what the capital of Spain was. Brown answered Portugal,” Baby tweeted.

Lewis took exception and promptly spoke out.

“Ben Baby that’s BS!! You need to fact check yourself,” the ASU special advisor replied.

Baby covered his tracks, replying “Ha! I’m just reporting the news as it was told in the presser.”

This fan’s reply summed up the nature of this mini-beef, tweeting “I did not know Marvin Lewis had a Twitter account.”

Whether Baby’s anecdote is true or not, the brand new Cincinnati Bengal Orlando Brown Jr. has proven himself as a force in the NFL.

The 26-year-old last week signed a four-year, $64 million contract with Cincinnati following successful stints with the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs.
