Odell Beckham's Contract Demands Reportedly Revealed

While several prominent free agent wide receivers around the NFL have agreed to new contracts this week, the biggest name among them remains on the market.

Odell Beckham Jr., who sat out the 2021 season while recovering from a torn ACL suffered in Super Bowl LVI, recently showed teams that he’s back to full health during an open workout. Now, the three-time Pro Bowler is looking for the right fit — and the right contract.

Dianna Russini of ESPN reported that Beckham is looking for a deal worth between $15 and $20 million per season. Dov Kleiman relayed the news.

Jordan Schultz also reported on Thursday that Beckham wants to sign a multi-year contract.

Should Beckham get his wish, he would be the highest-paid of any wideout to hit the free agent market this season. Allen Lazard and Jakobi Meyers have set the standard thus far, both signing deals worth $11 million per season.

Several teams have been tied to the 30-year-old Beckham. The Dallas Cowboys have garnered the most buzz dating back to last season, when Beckham visited the team but ultimately did not sign due to concerns about his knee. Schultz reported that the Cowboys “would like to make it work” with Beckham.

Other potential landing spots include the Buffalo Bills, where Beckham also visited last season, and New York Jets. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who announced this week that he intends to play for the Jets next season, reportedly told the team that he would like to play with Beckham.

Beckham was released by the Cleveland Browns midway through the 2021 campaign and signed with the Los Angeles Rams. He showed some of his early-career explosiveness with the Rams, catching 48 passes for 593 yards and seven touchdowns while leading the team to a Super Bowl win.

We should find out soon where Beckham will make his return — and how much he’ll be paid to do so.
