The Raiders had the No. 1 overall pick made available to them earlier this offseason, according to a report.
The Bears and Raiders reportedly had discussions about the No. 1 overall pick. However, the asking price was far too steep.
The Raiders wanted a first-round pick in 2023, two future first-round picks, a 2023 second-round pick and a future second-round pick. All that for this year’s No. 1 overall pick.
Had the Raiders followed through on the deal, they would have done so with the intention of drafting their new franchise quarterback. Instead, they refused to make the trade and signed Jimmy Garoppolo instead.
“Raiders were interested in acquiring the Bears’ No. 1 pick. Here’s what Chicago asked for: •2023 first-round pick •2023 second-round pick •Two future first-round picks •A future second-round pick Price was too steep for Las Vegas, via @jeffphowe and @tashanreed,” said B/R Gridiron.

This is a pretty interesting little wrinkle into how things have played out in Las Vegas this offseason.
The Bears, meanwhile, wound up dealing the No. 1 pick to Carolina instead.
The Panthers will take likely either Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud or Anthony Richardson with the first pick in April.
